ISTD Street Competition

As part of Grand Finals Day (Nationals 2026), the ISTD have 3 competitions a year where we can qualify in Street Solos & Crews.

We will be requesting tickets for the Portsmouth Competitions 3rd May 2026.

Tickets are £19 each.

Dancers will compete in:

Street Solo:

All those that make the final qualify for Nationals

Big & Little pairs:

Pairs with an age gap of 3-5 years, Miss Katie will allocate these once she knows who’s attending

Crews:

Miss Katie will contact you if you are part of the crew after she knows who is coming (this will be for those 10+ only)

Parent & Child Pairs:

Get practicing parents, your child can teach you a routine to compete at the competition. Should consist of One dancer aged under 18, One dancer aged 18 or over, age gap of 10 years.

Street Quads (4 dancers)

This is to set music per age group, Miss Katie will allocate these once she knows who’s attending

Street Pairs

Rules at the competition:

• Numbers should be worn on the front.

• Make-Up – none for U10s, simple make-up for O10s

• Miss Katie cannot help you whilst you do the dances.

•Use of recording equipment is not permitted at any DFR Faculty competition e.g., video cameras / phone cameras etc. This also includes live broadcasts on Social Media Platforms and Video calls

• Suitable footwear compulsory for Street. (Trainers)

• No dress restrictions for any event. Clothing should be well fitted and protect the dancer’s modesty at all times.

• No dance school logos or uniform to be worn.

• No explicit images or words on the clothing.
